Vision-Aid workshop : Innovations in Mobile and Braille Technologies for the visually impaired

 

Vision-Aid is holding a workshop, in collaboration with our partner, Youth4Jobs, at the Youth4Jobs office in Bengaluru, to provide a hands-on training on Innovations in Mobile and Braille Applications for trainers of the Visually Impaired. This workshop has limited enrollment and  primarily for Vision-Aid and Youth4Jobs trainers, and from our partner networks, although others who are interested may feel free to contact us via email, and we will try to accommodate , if space is available!

Course Instructors

 

Balaji works as a Senior Technical Specialist at Zinios Information  Technologies Pvt. Ltd. He has close to 24 years of experience in the IT  industry, which includes 14 years of experience in Product / Project management, Solutions architecting and delivery management. As a blind professional and mentor, he understands the many nuances of technology, and  is  passionate about creating an inclusive environment that provides equal  opportunities for the differently abled.

 

Justin works as a freelance transcriptionist and also teaches English via WhatsApp and email. He is also the editor of Insight, a braille, quarterly magazine published by Mitra Jyothi. Justin was one of the earliest users of Iphone here in Bangalore. He started using it in 2011. Since then, he has trained many people in the use of Iphone. He has also trained people in the Orbit reader also. He has also worked as a computer instructor at Samarthanam trust for the Blind in the past. 

 

Manjunatha V is a scale 2 officer (manager) in Canara Bank.He has a post graduate degree in political science.He is the youth secretary of NFB Karnataka branch.He is passionate about  creating awareness in the VI community about the various schemes / programmes  that are available to them both at the state and central level. He has prior experience of conducting android workshops in various schools in Karnataka.
